Ms. Bailey Miller

Hi! My name is Ms. Miller, but I will soon change to Mrs. Smith due to getting engaged this summer!

I graduated from Greenwood High School (Greenwood, SC) in 2008. I then went to Erskine College on academic and athletic scholarships. I played soccer all four years at Erskine and served as team captain for my last two years. While playing, I earned a BA in Mathematics and graduated in 2012.

After graduating from college, I stumbled upon teaching when I started as a part-time adjunct math instructor at Piedmont Technical College for 1.5 years. Then I enrolled in the PACE program through the SC State Department of Education to get my Teaching Certification. I taught high school math at Laurens District High School for 5.5 years, 4 of those 5.5 years I was the Head Coach of the Varsity Girls Soccer team. I then taught high school math from my home for 2 years at a virtual school called Cyber Academy of SC. After that, I taught middle and high school math at Laurens Preparatory Academy (the alternative program for school Districts 55 and 56) for 4 years.

This is my thirteenth year teaching and my first year at Spartanburg County Early College High School! I am so excited and grateful for the opportunity to teach at SCECHS!
